Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In the Heart of Jesus is found the love of God, our God, Who gave us His Divine Son as expiation for our sins. God loved His children so much, yet, the Heart of Jesus continues to be descecrated and treated with irreverence. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is contained in the Eucharist. How many times have we received His Most Precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity without respect, with irreverence, with distraction?
How many times have we allowed ourselves to forget that in that Precious Host is the Son of God? No one is exempt from these sins. We forget. Yet, that Sacred Heart continues to beat for each of us. Bump-bump. Bump Bump. Beats of love for us. Do we love Him as much as He loves us? Do we put God first in our lives? Bump Bump. Bump Bump. The Heart of Jesus beats for us. Do our hearts beat for Him?
May the Heart of Jesus, in the most Blessed Sacrament, be praised, adored, and loved, with grateful affection, at every moment, in all the tabernacles of the world even unto the end of time. Amen.
