On This Memorial Day Weekend:: Remembering all the Souls in Purgatory

Artists, Popes, priests, nuns, accountants, tech support, police, gangstas, moms, dads, aunts, uncles, granparents, shoe makers, sock makers, ballerinas, actors, criminals, florists, writers, dog groomers, what do all of these people in various occupations have in common, when they die, if they did not go to heaven or hell, they went to Purgatory. We can’t judge. We don’t know. We’ll be surprised by many we meet in Purgatory or in Heaven.

Since we don’t know what happens after death at our judgment, we need to pray for all the souls in Purgatory—all of them, especially for the members of our families who might still be in the Mists. Many souls crave prayers from their families. They are often forgotten through the years, or the assumption is made that because they were good people on earth, they are now in heaven.

Never, ever assume!!! Pray for your family members who have gone before you. Pray through the generations and offer sacrifices for all of your family. Pray for those who are living. Pray for those who have died. Pray for yourself.

The Souls are grateful and they will pray for you. They can’t pray for themselves or for those in Purgatory with them, but they can pray for you. They will! Ask them for help. Ask them to help you achieve holiness before you die. Ask them to pray for your children. Ask them to pray for a holy death for you and your family members, even those who have died.

Heaven awaits us all, and how we live our lives on earth will determine where we will go when we die. Pray. Sacrifice. The Souls need you and your gifts of charity for them.

St. Gertrude Prayer (Said to release 1,000 souls in Purgatory each time it is prayed.)

Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of Your Divine
Son, Jesus, in union with all of the Masses said throughout the world,
in reparation for sins, for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners
everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those within my own home, and within my family.

All praise and honor be to the Precious Blood of Jesus, for it wrought our salvation and our redemption. Amen.
